The noodles were brittle and low quality. The soup is up to your taste but it's strong and an very uniquely fishy. The chashu was not soft and didn't melt in the mouth as you'd expect from ramen, then again it's up to your taste but I don't like munching on chashu done rare.

Hachiya Ramen Honten has more than 70 years of history, and it is one of the most important ramen shops in Hokkaido. The ramen at Hachiya has dark brown soup, as it uses fish broth, pork broth, and raw soy sauce. The ramen also uses ginger and lard oil as topping #LetsGuide
Excellent smokey broth. Very popular. Unique
Very interesting flavor. The tsukemen has a funky flavor, in a good way. The noodle itself is awesome. I also bought a take home packet of noodle too.
We were able to enter without lining up, but the inside of the store was full. There were no counter seats, only table seats. I ordered the Shio ramen (800 yen) with the Hachiya original Kogashi lard. Spicy black soup bite!! Kogara lard mixed with soup has a creamy mouthfeel, entwined well with thin noodles, char siu is thinly sliced \u200b\u200bbut chewy, and the more you chew it, the more delicious it tastes today When I drank soup, the thank you letter was written on the bottom of the bowl!
