Very nice restaurant with a very good view run by a very good host of staff. Everything was excellent and quite delicious. Why not 5 stars? Here, the competition is fierce and I want to save the 5* for something somehow even nicer than the amazing experience we had. If I don't find it, I will change it to 5* in a few days time!

Nice view good service but food is not good at all
This is a place for people wearing socks and shoes on the beach, something we didn't realize because we started dinner early, at 6, when only a few diners were seated. Food was just ok, and prices old fashioned high for their mostly older clients. Service is a major problem here. We were ignored, maybe due to the language problem, as all of the waiters except one spoke just Italian to us, and maybe because one of us was wearing shorts, who knows. Anyway, we decided to leave before dessert. The extra star is for the view, which is excellent. You'll have more fun and a welcoming staff at Albergo Carcani a bit further down the promenade, which is where we had a nice dessert. One last detail: if a restaurant presents itself as a fancy place, it ought to serve quality tonic, not Schweppes, for their gin tonic... In this regard as well we had a much improved experience at A Carcani. Prego!
