The pizza at this place was good, and the toilets clean. I can't comment on the souvenir selections but there seemed to be a lot of people who enjoyed it.

A short pit stop where you can take a photo of the temple and goddess figurine.
Nice stop to take a picture of huge Kwan yin statue from a distant. Has toilet and shops to purchase fruits and ice cream. But surprisingly, no place to throw rubbish.
A good place to rest after a long drive. The environment is nice and ample parking space available.
This is an average \Michi No Eki\ rest area, the kind that is sprinkled along all major roads in Japan to prevent road fatigue. Has restrooms, a restaurant (didn't eat there so can't tell how good it is), a tourist information area, small gift shop, and a separate building where local vegetables and handcraft are sold. As far as I know this is the only rest area along the road between Takigawa and Furano. In case you are thinking of staying overnight in the parking area, the adjacent road 452 leading into the nearby mountains has a couple of day visit onsen which are pretty decent (Starlight hotel is one that I visited and can recommend).
