lots of interesting information regarding the volcano. there is also a VR station free of charge. large parking lot.

A slightly dated museum that captures all the information on volcanoes and Mt Aso. Worth a visit to understand formation of volcanoes and its impact on the environment and people.

Requires 860yen per adult for entrance. Parking lot costs 410yen per car for a whole day. Just next to 草千里 and a few restaurants.
