From my great-grandfather to my father and now me, the tradition still holds with the same love and dedication. The Batarlis’ Family Olive Groves are located in Ormylia, the oldest settlement in Chalkidiki in Greece. This is where my desire to combine my love for this land and tradition with modern cultivation techniques and know-how, has grown. For a whole century the Batarlis’ Family groves have been producing olive oil of incomparable quality and excellent taste. The crop is harvested with great care and our efforts are dedicated to collecting the fruit and selecting those olives that are appropriate for creating an exceptional virgin olive oil. The olives are transferred to the olive press daily and the oil is extracted through old crushing/pressing. Every new batch is measured to determine the acidity of the oil produced. The olive oil is stored in special tanks under nitrogen controlled conditions at a controlled temperature The process combines know-how and an expert scientific approach with the unaffected manner olive oil has always been produced by our family. Athena's Rose's was certified by the World Olive Center and National & Kapodistrian University of Athens for High Phenolic Extra Virgin Olive Oil in compliance with European Union Regulation 432/2012.
