The AREI Association has not done much of anything for the Oak Hill Ranch Community in Monte Alto, Texas. I would venture to say that the majority of the residents do not know what the HOA money is used for. Approximately 2 years ago the HOA fee was increased by 300 and I personally do not know one person that agreed to the increase, yet somehow it was approved. There has not been any significant improvements or changes in the neighborhood to justify the increase. We do not have a community park, pool or any other amenities that justify an 800 HOA fee. This HOA is very prompt when it comes to collecting your money and will send notices threatening to put liens on your property if you do not pay. They are not any better at taking care of issues than the city or county. In fact, being part of this HOA prevents you from getting assistance because of being a private community. When the power goes out, the Oak Hill Ranch Community depends on the electric company to restore it. The HOA does not work any kind of magic to get it restored sooner. In most recent years when there has been flooding in the neighborhood, we have been told to wait until it dries up because they can’t do anything about it. My family is now displaced for a second time due to flooding as the HOA literally did nothing to prepare for hurricane season after knowing that the area flooded last year. I am completely disappointed in this Home Owners Association and will continue to raise awareness so that no other family is ever negatively affected by them again. I gave this management company a one star rating only because there is not an option to rate them any lower.

I do not recommend this management company at all especially working with the property manager Anna Bohart! We had rented an apartment near monte cristo in edinburg, unfortunately we had to leave earlier in our contract. She managed to make it the most difficult experience possible threatening to sue ect. even though I had found a tenant to take over our lease. During one of our phone conversations she even spoke about the RGV community and \Why people around here don't follow contracts or want to pay\. Poor management and lack of customer service.

Any concerns in our community are always addressed promptly. We receive regular updates and newsletters within the community and are always informed about what is going on. It's nice to have a management company that actually cares about the safety and quality of living in our neighborhood. Thank you AREI for always being there when we need you!

Love that the management company offers house cleaning! The lady who cleans our house is so attentive to detail and never misses anything. The grocery pick-up service is a life saver also! Thanks for always going above and beyond, AREI.
