The Palace of Astorga is also known as the Palace of Gaudi the famous architect that also created La Sagrada in Barcelona. The inside of the palace has a lot to see including an abundance of stained glass throughout. This palace is built Catalonia style and is only one of three outside of Catalonia that was built by Gaudi.

Outside of the building is the best part, but for 3.50 it is worth seeing the inside too. This is only a hundred years old, built as the bishop's residence. Pretty interior structure, but it houses relics that are not dated, nor is anything written in anything except Spanish.
A definite must visit for anyone interested in architecture, or just curious about how elaborate decoration can be. Gaudi's recently restored palace is an astonishing example of invention and form. Almost defies belief that this was even contemplated.
Located in the Astorga city center, the Episcopal Palace is one of the reference of the Saint James Way and a tribute to all of ways to go to Santiago de Compostela and pilgrims. The Palace is a neo-Gothic building, built by Antonio Gaudí with granite stone from Bierzo, with features of castle, temple and stately palace, surrounded by a moat.
One of the most fascinating Gaudí building in Spain. It has an exhibition with Camino reliquivies such as the original Cruz de Ferro. Highly recommended to visit. The merchandising shop is also very good.
This is one of Gould's masterpieces. A work of art. This is not to be missed when visiting Astorga.
Relative to other works of Gaudí it is not worth a visit.
Nice palace partly by the hand of Gaudi, but la Sagrada Familia definitely remains his masterpiece!
