A little background to qualify my review, I lived in OKC, OK for 30 years before moving to St. Joe at the beginning of 2020. Now, I have finally made my way home to Atchison and this Walmart is a great example of why I wanted to come home. The employees are friendly, they go out of their way to say \hello\ and \can I help you\. I see complaints about the aisles being full because of a lack of help due to cut backs. Friends, go to a Walmart in St. Joseph and come back and tell me your problems here...you won't have any. Go to one in a big city...you'll be in love with the Walmart in Atchison. I'm yet to meet a perfect retailer, but this in my humble opinion is about as close as you're going to get. Add to it that the citizens of Atchison itself are friendly and instead of ignoring or shunning others, people 'mask smile' and say hello. Oh I'm so happy to be home and that this is my new Walmart!!!

Walmart's aren't all the same. Atchison's store is clean and the parking lot is good sized. It's not over crowded with people and long lines like South Belt St. Joe. The isles are spacious for the most part. It's up to date, and I love the music outside. The clothing is not really stylish. It's very basic. They need to take a lesson from St. Joe in that dept. Certain things are always out of stock. But at the same time there is always people stocking while you're shopping, or big crates of product blocking the isles. But all in all it's pretty good. Just a normal shopping trip to Walmart.
