They closed this location at the last minute and left the staff to find other jobs in only a few days. I always went to see Jordan and am thankful she was able to open her own place and continue working. She now has a place called Skincare by Jordan and is still in Athens giving the great service with a better atmosphere.

I have no idea why this place has bad reviews. I've been going to sweet samba in Atlanta for several years and have always had great service and this was the same. Clean, good atmosphere, quick, and efficient. Highly recommend.
I've been going here for the past two years and have had the same person help me, the manager of the branch. She's always been super friendly, professional and efficient and the reason that I only go here. However today I went and got a different person because she wasn't available and it was the worst waxing experience I've ever had. I guess it depends on who you get here but if you want a guaranteed good experience, ask for the manager. Will never let someone I don't know wax me again at this location.
Have been going to Sweet Samba for awhile now and loved it. Went this last time and saw Jordan, who is the store manager. I gave her a 40% tip IN CASH and she decided to add another 5 for herself on my credit card. I will never go back and can not believe a business would have such dishonest people working for them.
Mary was very professional and sweet! Great service and atmosphere. Will go next month again!
I came here in the fall of 2015 for a brazilian wax. Everything seemed to go okay, but I realized something was wrong because my skin was sensitive and red for days afterwards. I knew this was not normal because I had three brazilians elsewhere, prior to my visit to Sweet Samba. It's been six months and my burn is still trying to heal. Make the drive to European Wax center if you want professional care. DO NOT GET WAXED HERE
The only reason why I am giving this 4 STARS is because of the current manager, Jordan Herndon--or else it would be 1 STAR. I used to go to another senior (expert) waxer at Sweet Samba but she moved away & after that I only had okay-ish experiences with the other girls waxing there. In addition to this the management was ATROCIOUS--I showed up multiple times during business hours only for them to be CLOSED wasting both my gas money & my time. I even called the Atlanta locations to double check the Athens hours (which they confirmed) & to speak to someone about my experiences & every time the girls on the phone were rude & never called me back (this happened several times). To say the least the employees & management are the worst of the worst but the place is CLEAN & when you get a good waxer it is a great experience one-on-one. For a long time I vowed never to go back or promote such a shoddy business until one day I met Jordan (they were closing early due to being understaffed & she had already shut the systems down) when I made one of these annoying trips & she quelled my agitation & gave me her personal phone number to make sure I was taken care of on my next visit/appointment. Ever since Jordan has worked there things have gotten so much better with the hours & service from all of the staff--this says it all about both her personal & professional ethics..they are SUPERIOR! She is definitely under-appreciated & the only reason I even gave Sweet Samba another chance is thanks to this wonderful lady esthetician.
