Southern homes was contracted to oversee the home we rent in november 2018. As of yesterday they evicted us. They called the homeowner of the property, Charles Lawson, and told him a bunch of untruths to evict us from our home of nearly 11 years! We have had a great relationship until november 2018. Southern homes stated in the eviction that we refused multiple times to allow them access to the property for inspection. Not true! We have never been approached with such questions! They also stated we were in violation of our agreement because we had a portable building and a pool on the property whereas we had gained permission from the prior manager years prior. I do NOT recommend them as I have had others who have stated their agents have went through their personal property during inspections and other reasons! Dont do business with Southern Homes and Amy Elkins. O yes, if they hire you to do work, dont! They dont pay! I as a state licensed contractor was employed by them on several occasions and when work was done, they told us to call the homeowner for payment. I'm not the only contractor this has been done this way!
