If you’re going to Russia, this is the absolute best place to use. I’ve gotten three visas myself and I have sent several of my friends there for visas to come visit me. If you’re looking for a solid travel agency, they’re the right place to go. Personally I book my own travel but they will definitely put you on the right track with lodging and transportation.
I was very pleased with their service, will use them again as necessary!
Update: I received both a refund and a sincere apology. While GTR has provided good, though very expensive, Visa service, they showed their true colors when I bought first class Russian train (Sapsan) tickets online. After they made an error in booking (buying tickets both to and from my point of departure at the same exact time), they also tried to direct me to their different offices while those offices were closed, lied about the tickets being non-refundable so that I had to return them at the station on my own (thanks to the advice of hotel reception), and now are getting the refund money since they were the actual purchasers (with a hefty service fee!). A few of their American staff are the rudest people I've had the displeasure of dealing with. Aside from that, they failed to return phones calls and acted in an absolutely unprofessional manner. After they made the booking error, they wasted so much time responding that it was almost too late to return the tickets, which must be returned BEFORE the train departs. Russian corruption is no worse than American corruption, and this entitiy engages in both at once. Their behavior is illegal in both countries. If you need something like train tickets, save money and hassle by buying directly from Russian Railways. You'll be able to pick a seat that is *actually* available and return your ticket if you need to. All without having to pay to take a taxi to the train station and without having to pay a large fee to GTR. I have proof of return from the train station and will be pursuing legal remedies against this business if my money is not promptly returned.
I've been using their visa service for years, for me and my family. We never had any complications. Our passports have always been returned with visas. I tend to call in a few weeks ahead to check if the rules have changed. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and ready to answer my questions. The turnaround time is reasonable. Overall, I can't say a bad word about them.
