We recently partnered with Kickr Design to help begin to bring a product idea to life after years of planning and spinning wheels. The Kickr team communicated openly and frequently with us during the entire process from the first introductory meeting with Kyle, to working with our dedicated design team led by Sydney. The entire process was collaborative, and the Kickr team took our suggestions and design wishes into account following every meeting. At the end of the concept development phase, we are now reenergized to continue our product development process. We would feel more than comfortable using Kickr for future stages of this project and on other projects down the road.

Kickr designs will do anything to get a sale — the team will ask you your budget and then quote you a couple of thousand dollars higher than what you’ve said. You’ll most likely say okay sure that’s pretty close and then sign a non binding contract. The contract repeats over and over that this is an estimate and they will make every attempt to meet these numbers. Unfortunately this group is not honest and does not have integrity. Their professionalism and the way they do business leaves much to be desired. I told them my budget was 25,000 and they returned with 30,000. Once I paid the 10,000 dollar retainer to start the project they said they didnt “fully understand“ the full scope and quoted again at 60,000. I thought to myself this surely would be the maximum to get the project completed. Unfortunately I was wrong and once I was 30,000 dollars in they quoted again at 90,000. There was no change in scope or project deviations. I brought my concerns to management and they said that I spent 90 hours communicating back and forth with them. Their bill rate is 195 dollars an hour which means I communicated with them to the tune of 20,000 dollars. I would not recommend this company to anyone needing a product developed and I hope I am able to save people from making the same mistake I have made.
