Agree with Lea Anne Davis. They did the same with our child, take them out of the room for the exams. Nearly 6 months after birth, received my first bill and it was a big one. What upsets me even more is not all their providers are in-network, and you don't find out until after the fact when you receive the bill. There is nothing you can do about it. Beware.

I couldn't tell you about the pediatricians because after delivering my daughter at Northside Hospital I never saw them. They take your newborn check them out and send them back. Great. The problem is after. I immediately started receiving HUGE bills after they collected what they could from Blue Cross Blue Shield. They submitted the claim incorrectly. I have 100% coverage for pediatric appts and they coded it as \in patient\ services but how can that be when they take my baby somewhere else to check her out. She was taken to THEIR offices. But they refused numerous times to resubmit correctly. They do whatever they have to do to get the MOST money from your insurance company and then they go after you for out of pocket. Find your own pediatrician and pay \in patient\ services with them because then at least you're paying for \in patient\ for real and its the same pediatrician your baby will have from the get go.
