This Doctors office scams their patients and Dr. Williams lied to us! On 6/16/14 my wife and I brought in our daughter to Dr. Williams to ask one simple question about a small lump she has had on her shoulder…’is this a pilomatixoma and can it wait to be removed or not?“ He confirmed with us “yes it is and it can wait, just have to keep an eye on it for growth”…well, that 5 minute office visit and one simple question only cost us 200 because we do not have insurance! Because I use to be an ‘IT’ computer consultant, I am well aware of the scams (double and triple billing), that go on with Medical billing codes and in knowing this, I stated to him that there should be no addl Medical billing codes tacked on to this visit because it was just simply a question right?….he stated ‘No”. Three weeks later in the mail we received another bill from them for yet another 34 and that billing code was a 99242, which states that we came as a direct request & referral of another doctor. This never happened and we brought her here on our own to ask this simple question. This is now considered fraudulent billing. Dr. Williams lied to us, as well as deliberately tacked on a fraudulent billing code just to jack up the bill. We are self-pay, I can’t imagine all the behind-the-scenes fraudulent billing that goes on in this office with insurances…
