I worked for Home Instead In Attleboro. They have some Really Great People working for them. Such as MaryPat & Kristen. A few of the Caregivers I met while working there were great. The problem is many are not that great. I don’t actually blame the caregiver themselves. More so for me the problem was. I was hired as a HHA. I made it very clear I was NOT a CNA. Home Instead was placing me in homes with clients who needed more care than I was Certified for. Because I was an able bodied person who was willing to do what needed to be done to meet the clients needs. I went ahead and did things I wasn’t legally supposed to or allowed to do. The problem for me is that I never should have been placed in that situation in the first place. I had to make judgment calls. Like do I leave a client in a bloody bandage with feces on it? Or do I step up and do what needs to be done to keep the client safe and healthy and Happy. Which is the whole point to the company in General. For me the Client comes first. They are paying a lot of money for a service that is supposed to be provided. From what I gathered in my experience & time working with Home Instead In Attleboro. It appears they are taking on more clients than they have the staff and capability to handle. They are a private pay company. They pay very little to the Caregivers. Yet they charge very high to the client with the client thinking they are getting what they paid for. Sadly in most cases. The client does not get what they pay for. I decided this is definitely not something I wanted to be a part of. I blame the General Manager Janice for not being more on top of how her Company was being run.

Great experience with this agency in caring for my mom who needed round the clock care. Mary Pat made sure everything ran smoothly and the office was always helpful in scheduling. Caregivers were wonderful, caring and treated my mom as if she was there own. With us until the day she passed and we’re so helpful during this difficult time. I knew she was in good hands when I was not able to be there too.
My experience with Home Instead has been uplifting! Caring for a senior family member is challenging and the services of Olivia and Lori made an amazing impact! Like having granddaughters to care for Mom! They genuinely cared!! Mary Pat’s support was priceless! Every time I had contact with all staff my concerns were addressed and resolved promptly! Reliable, personable, knowledgeable and trustworthy! I would recommend Home Instead Attleboro without hesitation!
I have worked for HomeInstead in Attleboro for just short of 2 years. I had little experience in the field when I began and I can honestly say I could not have done it without Kristen S. Almost all of my clients were under her care. She was a HUGE resource for me. Anytime I had a question or concern she would get right back to me with advice, literature and/or direction for what to do. She put my mind at ease on several occasions. I also can't forget to mention Tasia. She ALWAYS has a \smile\ on her face when she answers the phone and is always a delight to talk to! Working with the most vulnerable of our society has taught me so much. I am so glad I gave HomeInstead a chance and hope I have made the life of my clients a little brighter and easier.
Anyone looking for care for a loved one, this is the company to use. I have used them for my Father and Step mother. Caring , compassionate, RELIABLE. These people are wonderful, from your first conversation with the office, to meeting the caregiver to dealing with any issues that arise .
