almost everything you need for your car is in this shop at a fair price. Value for money purchase at this store.

Make sure when you buy there are two sets of keys, have the car checked by an AA inspector, and test drive them. They will not clean the car thoroughly especially interior. Employees not very courteous or friendly. Cheap means not very good service. They will not go out of their way to help. Inspect the car thoroughly do your due diligence before you take the car. They will not volunteer what is wrong with the car. Doesn’t feel that they are honest or they don’t know their cars very well. I’ve bought second had cars before and they are not the best people to get from. They have all these list of Inspection check - they even have a check okay on the cruise control when the car doesn’t have a cruise control. I assumed they are in NZ so their honest but questionable. When I looked at the car on test drive, the car didn’t have these big scratch marks but when we came to pay cash and pick up the car they said that was there already. My word against their word so it’s no use. I already gave them a down payment. The car was really dirty when I picked it up- inside and outside. Not pleasant dealing with them.

Dealt with Charlie here. Super easy to deal with, had a great experience. Car was fresh off the boat from Japan and in surprisingly good condition for being 10 years old. They also do deals on insurance, which was cheaper than State/AA in my case, so another plus there. I'd go back again, but not sure I need another car yet :)

Bought a great car at an excellent price. Great service from sales person Mark and the lady in the office. This is the second car I have bought from the team at Wairau and the second great experience.

Worst company to deal with. We bought a car beginning of November 2020 but started to have issue in the first week itself. We contacted 2 cheaps and they mentioned we need to use our warranty which was not fair so after an argument they agreed that they need to fix it. The car had been to the mechanic twice to get the issue fixed. The car ended up staying at the mechanic for most of the time and we got the car back on the 29th of December as we had a trip to Taupo on the 30th of December. They mentioned that the car is all fixed and we took the car for our trip to Taupo which stopped completely when we were halfway from Taupo and would not start at all. We had to contact 2 cheaps claim again but they didn’t care at all. Jake was the worst person to deal with and he was so rude on the phone. We had to stand for hours in the sun waiting for them to sort out something but they didn’t even care to help us. After hours of arguing with them they managed to arrange a transport for us to get back to Auckland and we had to arrange our own transport to travel once again from Auckland to Taupo which was another waste of money and time. We wasted one whole day of our holiday all because of 2 cheap. NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They don’t care for their customers.

Came there because had appointment to view a car today just to find out that the car is still not there! They said the car is still in transit. What a waste of time! They advertised something that is not ready (what?!) and did not even told us beforehand. Disappointed

Wairau Branch: It was a Sunday (22nd November 2020) and we had gone for a viewing at the Wairau Branch. Charlie (Wairau Sales Rep), mentioned that we should not be looking for cars or even sitting inside one if it's outside our budget. The car we were looking at was 11,000 and we ended purchasing one at 12,000. Does your ethnicity determine what car you can purchase or not? Greenlane Branch: Last week my partner (S) purchased a Mazda Axela from the Greenlane branch of 2 Cheap Cars. She got the finance done from the Wairau branch. On the day of the purchase, she had to travel from Greenlane to Wairau and back, and there were delays as there's a lot of traffic. After the loan getting cleared, S drove back to Greenlane but while she was returning, Eason (Greenlane Sales Rep) arrogantly informed her he had a meeting to attend and was not interested in giving her the car the same day and told her she had a fixed time to come by, if not, he would not give the car and would leave for the day. 2 Cheap Cars Greenlane closes at 6pm, but Eason said it would close at 5:30pm or earlier and did not care if the customer had to take the car, so is the timing wrongly mentioned online? Why was the sales person so rude with the customer? S felt like he targeted her cause she was a girl and hence did not respect her or treat her like a decent customer. Apart from that, the Mazda Axela which we purchased for 12,000 has been giving several issues and it's only been a week since the purchase was done. 1: The key icon keeps flashing stating that the key is not in range. 2: We found out now that the tyres have completely worn out and need to replace them. We purchased the car even though there were dents all over the car, however, the customer service we have received has been horrible. Purchasing a 5 item at the Warehouse would probably give us better customer service than 2 Cheap Cars.
