I'm so excited to have discovered Hackland in my neighbourhood! A great community hakerspace that feels inclusive, fun and inspiring. This is great as I live in a small apartment I don't have the space to work on projects at home and now I feel like I have found a creative space with lots of talented people to teach me things too!
Great place, great people
I didn't expect recycling to feel so satisfying. As in... Literal reuse of other people's junk. It isn't long after muttering aloud how one needs some demolition native timber, an old motor, or maybe some power supply or cabking, that a fellow hacklander whips one out that is going spare. Favourite things are the laser cutter and wood scraps about the place.
Cool makerspace with a range of equipment from woodwork, metal work, fabric & electrical. The members are supportive of each other and willing to help and teach others to learn new skills. The space is also host to the Auckland Library of Tools.
Went on a open night (Thursdays) and was greeted by happy faces and people keen on showing me around. Super inspiring!
Went to a CNC workshop, lots of very friendly folks who are always happy to teach and share their know-how. Great vibes
Lots going on, cool tools and a tool library including sewing machines, friendly people with big ideas
