Do yourself a favour and order the soft shell crab - oh boy was she tasty. Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely - the open kitchen is especially cool. Recommend sharing a few different dishes and trying a range of meats from the menu, you won’t be let down.

We love Hello Beasty! We had a team dinner there last week and it was as exceptional as ever. It was a Wednesday night and it was humming. Best playlist in Auckland, menu and execution is superb. Thank you!

Went for my 21st birthday. The fried cauliflower was surprisingly delicious. Probably the best way to eat cauliflower known to man. Loved the kingfish - exceptional balance of salty and citrusy flavours. The lamb was tender, melt in your mouth. It's a must. Very accommodating during prior to and during my 21st, especially with the inconvenience of lockdown. Two problems: one, the seating wasn't ideal for a typical European popliteal height - understandable, but not the most comfortable sitting down; two, the table structure felt limited by the restaurant's floor plan leaving me feeling a bit subdued around a large group of people. Overall, very good atmosphere and food. Regrettably, two exceptions away from a perfect experience.

Came in on a Friday with a group of 13. Set menu was amazing, especially the Karage Fried Cauliflower. Very well looked after, highly recommended!

The food was amazing Truly good flavour Good service I had a bloody kimchi (a spin on the Bloody Mary) and my oh my, it was truly good! It’s certainly not cheap for an evening of chats and food, but I was more than happy to pay the bill and add a decent tip at the end of the evening! HIGHLY recommended!

Really nice food at an Asian fusion restaurant. We had the 65pp shared menu that consisted of 4 starters, a main with rice & veg and a dessert. Thoroughly enjoyed it all :)

We were lucky that we booked since it was quite packed when we arrived for dinner. The menu had a few interesting looking items but I was kinda disappointed that they didn't have their cup noodles anymore. We grabbed some dishes to share. We had a few orders of the Wagyu brisket gua bao and katsu sando so that we had enough for everyone. Both were quite tasty. The chicken in the katsu sando was cooked perfectly as it wasn't dry even though it was breast meat. I also quite liked the stick pork hock bun but was surprised it can as pan fried baos. Although all the dishes we had were really tasty, there were two that were really good, the KFC, Korean Fried Cauliflower, and the prawn and crab toast. The cauliflower was crispy and really tasty. The prawn toast was really crispy and had a really nice flavour. the crab on top make it decadent and then the slices of beef on top was almost like a surf and turf. The desserts were interesting quite interesting. The marshmallow was really nice. I liked the stickiness and lightness of it. The coconut sorbet was interesting, it had the flavour of coconut water so the flavour was a bit more subtle than I was expecting. The doughnuts with the salter caramel were very easy to eat too. It was a really nice place for dinner. The menu is very interesting and there were a few items on there which are worth the trip back for.
