Great park to take dog and unleash. Many other friendly dogs and plenty of room to run and play.

This is the only legally off-leash dog park that I'm currently aware off in Austin. It's a sizable fenced area to let your puppers run off excess energy and meet new friends. There are water fountains for humans and dogs within the enclosure, so no need to worry about dehydration. And during the hot summer months, there are multiple access points to the river so that the dogs can easily cool off in the water. It's a little difficult finding parking during the weekends and peak hours, but if you have a dog, I think it's worth it.
Amazing place to take our high energy dog to so she can let off some steam. The off leash dog area is partially fenced in (but only partly), so if you're dog isn't trained to come back to you yet, don't take a chance. We haven't seen any particularly aggressive dogs there, but I wouldn't entirely rule it out. Be aware of the other dogs in the area and you should be ok.
Hottest day of the year so far! Found a great beautiful oak tree with lots of shade to cool off and have chat time with my friend. Nice scenery.
If you need a smile, this might be just the place to go
