I have not even moved in all the way yet and the maintenance request that I submitted have all been taken care of. I have had a great and smooth transition. Rick is super nice and understanding. He is on top of things. Thank you Rick!

Well when I moved in the place hadn't been cleaned even though they said they would. I called them because they were supposed to repair a few things and paint but that didn't happen The next day I arrive with movers and there is a guy painting the place! I should have known then. The front door to the street doesn't close all the way, the door knob to my apartment fell off, the ceiling leaks when it rains (I now have to put a bucket to catch the drips), there's mold spreading in the bathroom and there are two other leaks when it rains. I've called about all this stuff many times. They fixed the door knob and just paint over the rest. They don't give this place away rent-wise, but treat it like it's in a ghetto. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend them.

Brian Halterman WILL try to cheat you any way he can. Avoid doing business with this guy.

Haltermann isn't a terrible landlord, just neglectful. The apartment was dirty when I moved in. The hallways and common areas of the building were never cleaned and always had a layer of dirt, leaves, and bits of trash. When the front entrance to the building flooded on a Friday evening they wouldn't even come look at it until Monday because they don't do anything on weekends, by that point the building smelled terrible and the tenants of the building has taken to propping open the street door to help it sit out and dry. After that plaster fell from the walls near the entrance in chunks and after a few days they finally sent someone to clean it up and paint over the mold that could be seen under the plaster. Shortly after that my lease was up so I found somewhere else to live. Before I left the doorknob to the front door of the building broke off on one side and as far as I know it still hasn't been fixed. I didn't have any issue getting back my security deposit. I left it way cleaner than I had gotten the apartment in because Haltermann obviously doesn't clean the apartments between tenants and I didn't want the next person to have to clean the entire place like I did when I moved in.

Avoid renting from this company. They will basically ignore you as soon as you sign the lease. Repeatedly ignored maintenance requests for water leaking (the same issue) over the span of months, that ultimately led to personal property damage.
