The customer service was not on point. The car that I ask for was unavailable, so I was given a truck. The truck that I received was dirty. From my experience, I feel like your company is over booking and don't have the inventory that you're booking. I tried twice to rent from y'all. So my observation is not based on one experience.
Simply put, the most frustrating experience I've ever had renting a car. It had nothing to do with the car/availability or even the customer service. I rented a car for a few days for 72. I notice they withdrew 200 from my account. Of course, no one had mentioned a deposit when I checked out. So I check the rental agreement /receipt and there's nothing about a deposit. I try and call Payless endlessly at various numbers and get nowhere. So after a 9 hour drive, I return the car and when I ask about the 200 the same lady who rented me the car says the deposit is mentioned in the fine print on the website. No apology or more explanation. Just a shady, behind- your-back car rental place. Also, it takes up to 48 hours to get your deposit back. So there's no chance I'd EVER rent from these guys again. Just pay the extra couple dollars and rent from Enterprise, Payless is a total scam.
When I came to pick up the two ladies at the desk were obviously more concerned with the conversation they were having amongst each other than they were helping me. The little chick with all the make up and jewelry literally stayed on her phone throughout the whole transaction. Her customer service was terrible just basically tossed me the keys and said the cars outside with no instructions and continued to engage with the woman working next to her. Then I needed to extend my rental and the number on the paperwork linked me to a call center to which the lady says that she was not able to assist me and gave me another number to where the gentleman informed me that he had nothing pulling up under none of my information and gave me the same number to the lady that said she wasn’t able to assist. So I Go to return the vehicle and had been charged almost the same amount I payed for 4 days for dropping it off one day late.
Arrived to pick up my rental at 10 am. It's now 10:30 and they don't have a car ready for me yet. Never again will I use this company. Spend a few extra dollars with another company to get better service.
