I’m Jack and I have been training here for 5 years. Through this time, I have come to realize how amazing this place really is. Aurora Martial Arts has a very welcoming environment that keeps you coming back for more, as there is so much to learn. Aurora offers courses to kids, teens, and adults, all differing to fit the age groups respectively. The road to black belt is tough, and the instructors are there to help get you on the right path, but it is truly up to you to make that decision, to stick it out and work hard to earn it. Besides just learning self-defense, Aurora offers much more, including building important life-long skills such as discipline, respect, compassion, self control, and much more. I highly recommend coming to try out karate at Aurora Martial Arts, as you are sure to have fun and build healthy and positive habits, as I know I have. Hope to see you on the mat!

My son has been a student at Aurora Martial Arts since he was four years-old and he is soon to be nine. For the five years he has studied at this school I have closely watched his physical and mental development and it never ceases to astonish me how much he is capable of achieving. I am always impressed how much energy and attention to detail he gives the tasks he is given to learn. I know that he has learned about abstract ideas such as diligence, respect, courage and honor in a nurturing way through his many years in this program. And in addition to the superb education, he has developed remarkable strength, balance and body-awareness at a relatively young age. Aurora Martial Arts has been a wonderful program for my son and he is intent on being a student there for many years to come.

This is an awesome place for learning martial arts. All the instructors are very good and pay most attention to students learning. The best thing about this place is that it is run by the members of the whole family and there is so much personal touch involved. I would recommend this place to any one who plans on learning martial arts.

I trained in American Kenpo at Aurora Martial Arts for 5 years through middle and high school. This was both my second family and my safe space - I studied, made close friends, worked, volunteered and trained here. The owners and instructors are an amazing group of people that really understand how to help someone grow holistically through mutual respect, patience, physical activity and tight-knit support from everyone both on and off the mat. I moved away from Corvallis after college, and have investigated a few other schools in the Portland area, but always find myself comparing them to Aurora, which set the bar very, very high.
