My 81 year old mother moved into Atria at the Arboretum in November 2020. Leaving behind the comfort of her own home in California, a lifetime circle of friends, as well as necessary COVID restrictions, made this change in her life very challenging. Director Scott Jones and his staff were absolutely wonderful in supporting my mom and helping her feel welcomed, comfortable and safe in her new home. Encouraging words, friendly interactions and thoughtful gestures such as offering mom's dogs treats, whenever they pass the front desk, are simply standard practices at Atria.

We have been here a couple of months...so far so good. I’m really liking it. Close to everything. Charming compatible people. Plenty of things to do or not as you choose. Great views of the Texas Hill Country.
5 Stars across the board! My 91-year old mother-in-law moved into Atria in the arboretum area Austin, TX in early June. The Atria team has made it the best possible under the difficult COVID19 pandemic. Great care and very responsive. Scott Jones took the time to meet with tenants to get their feedback after he started. He and team are very tenant-focused and have gone above & beyond. We look forward to the many amazing activities that are offered to resume once things return to the new normal.
I moved my elderly mom to Atria summer of 2019. I knew this property well since I have worked in elder care as a nurse and care manager for years in the Austin area. I chose this property due to its proximity to my home knowing I would see my mom often and be involved in her care needs. There has been a lot of turn over in the last several years. Atria lost a stellar executive director to a new high end elder property in Austin. Unfortunately Atria has not been the same since. They have struggled to find a competent executive director and therefore there has been a lot of turn over. The chef from years past followed the stellar ED and the new chefs have not compared. The food is not at all comparable to other higher end independent living facilities in the Austin area. I know this to be true because I have experience with these other properties. I’m hopeful Atria will look at surveys they have received to try to better the overall experience of this community. I realize these are challenging times, but management should be able to be more creative to meet the needs of the elders in this community.
Everything you would want for yourself or loved one. The food is fabulous, and the staff is wonderful! Everyone is happy and attentive to your needs. There are many activities, although some have been challenged with the COVID19, the residents can hardly wait to get back to normal activity schedules. The residents are very welcoming and helpful to new friends. It's Club Med at Atria at the Arboretum.
