We went on a very busy Saturday night, but still received very friendly service. Our fish was grilled very nicely, and we enjoyed the variety of choices for our sides. The portions were generous--I couldn't finish my meal and got to take it home for the next day!

I cant say enough about the oysters on a half shell. Bigger is not always Better. Quality Seafood proves this point with their smaller oysters that have more flavor than most than their competitors in town. The 1 per oyster during happy hour is a steal! Now the Texas Black Drum Blackened is done to perfection. The Covid 19 safety protocol taken to ensure safe dining in store is second to none.
My husband has been a couple times and he thinks it's really good. However, he took me today and I wasn't as impressed. I'm not a picky person, but for a 50 lunch I thought it was a bit over priced. The hush puppies were hard and we both had hair on our plates... unfortunately, the hair was in my bite of fish and ended up in my mouth. Luckily, I saw the hair on his plate before he ate it. I did love the coleslaw though. He can go back if he wants, but I'll pass on this one in the future.

So, definitely only get blackened here. This was the first time I had drum. Shockingly, staff couldn't really describe the different types of fish.... Two of them said how they didn't even eat fish. Not incredibly helpful with people who need help in what to pick. Shrimp and hushpuppies were great. A side of bread seems absurd. But alas. I really wasn't a fan of the drum though...just a bit more... Slimy? And greasy. Which, to me, isn't what you want to describe your fish as. But at least the flavor was good. Mac and cheese is spaghetti in cheese sauce. Little bland but add some seasonings and it makes the cheesiness pop.
