Amanda Godwin was a tremendous help and resource! She guided us through the selection of seat cover materials, clearly explained the fabrication process and when we could receive the dining room chairs we ordered. She checked back with us periodically and ensured that delivery was flawless. What great service!! Skandinavia Contemporary Interiors is our first stop for any furniture needs. We live in Houston but will gladly drive to Austin when the need arises.

We are thrilled. We have in the last three weeks spent more time in our front room than we ever had in the 11 years we’ve lived in this house. It is like the house is 20% bigger, or more usable. We probably spend almost as much time per day in this room, now, than our bedroom (well, on weekends anyway). It is comfortable where ever you sit or stand, lovely to look at and pleasing to the eyes. We’ve noticed the evening setting sun brings in a wonderful light. It has always been there, but we never wanted to sit in the room long enough to notice the movement of light. The carpet DOES pull together the different colors. Sure the brown of the sofa and ottoman are there in the treads, as is the yellow of the walls and the light wood tones of our existing furniture and wood floors. We really love that the bold color of the chairs is supported by the carpet. Surprisingly, the green of the trees through the windows in our front yard, also seem to be drawn in too. We still have some fussy details to work out but that is half the fun. We really appreciate Maria Jungman's help with guiding our plans and ideas into reality.

We ordered a three seat sofa and lounge chair in September from the Austin store. The sofa was readily available but the custom color - dark olive - chair had to be ordered from the factory in Norway. There was a bit of confusion on the time allotted for the chair’s arrival. It was disappointing that the timeline was not clearly spelled out. I believe the staff has put new procedures in place for this not to happen again. Overall the staff was wonderful, especially Kelly Granade, to deal with long distance. Finally we were able to pick up both pieces and bring them to our West Texas home. They are perfect fit and most comfortable. Glad we waited for the olive chair.

We have been buying our furniture from Skandinavia for decades and it shows. Their pieces are classic in design and of such high quality that they last through generations of use. Our latest purchase was this perfect couch for our condominium and Maria's expert assistance helped us to make sure it was a fit in both style and measurements! We will be back.
