The Australian War Memorial in a memorial that stands in tribute to the 102,000 Australian war dead of the First and Second World Wars. Located on the southernmost corner of Hyde Park Corner, it stands in the same roundabout as the Wellington Arch, the New Zealand War Memorial, the Machine Gun Corps Memorial and the Royal Artillery Memorial. In the centre of the memorial are the insignias of the three branches of the Australian Armed Forces. It’s a beautiful mark of remembrance from the United Kingdom for our Australian brothers.

A peaceful memorial for the over 100,000 Australians who died in the two world wars, almost in the shadow of Wellington Arch. If you are looking for it to examine it more closely, it is located on the southern side (nearer Buckingham Palace) of this large roundabout.
The Australian War Memorial on London is a stunning tribute to Aussies so far from home. The memorial was beautifully laid out with so much attention to detail. To find out that the stone was actually imported from Perth, WA makes it even more special.
We sat here for an hour at 7am in the morning and it was so peaceful and bright. We would definitely return to sit here again
