An amazing place, you don't want to miss to see the kiss painting by Gustav Klimt, it's a life on a wall...being there and the explanation the guide woman gives through the headphones offered was really good.
A must visit place when in Vienna especially for art lovers. Here are found some of the most exceptional art masterpieces of classic and modern art such as the world-known Kiss of G. Klimt, Egon Schielle artpieces, Kokoscka along with Manet, Jacques Luis David and obviously many other Italian and Austrian painters. The Belvedere castle hosts a permanent collection of fine art and also many temporary exhibitions that should definitely be discovered by art lovers and non. I find it humbling and deeply moving to have the opportunity to witness myself at such crafty pieces of work and learn the story behind each painting. Note that in case you don't want to spend extra money for the audio guides you can find an explanation for most of the paintings with the App Smartify. The castle itself, hosting the collection, is an outstanding work of art that definitely deserves paying a visit.
Great art, lovely palace and a beautiful park. I recommend visiting in the summer when the garden is in full bloom.
Belvedere Gallery is one of that places when you get inside is like going in to a time machine which takes you to 17-19th Century! First what you will see inside are the walls and incredible columns! Every wall and each column will tell you a big history as all of them are painted and columns are proper statues! Also bear in mind that only in Belvedere you will see the original of one the most famous painting by Gustav Klimt “The Kiss”. So if you want to get a Kiss or to get into a time machine then this the right place for you ;)
Finally got to see the famous “the kiss” painting magnificent. The grounds outside the museum were pretty awesome too. Just prepare yourself for a lot of walking. Definitely one of the must dos in Vienna.
You should definitely visited the palace and if you want to, book a tour through the museum. Beautiful art and we also were lucky enough to have a fun tour guide!
