This stall has been operating here for more than 40 years i was told. I can vouch for at least 25 of those years as that's how long I've been a customer here. The dishes are really meant to be taken with the hot soupy porridge. If you have not tried this just come for the experience. Note, they only serve 2 types of drinks, chinese tea and coffee. Also you can request for rice instead of porridge but they inly prepare small amount.

Rustic outdoor congee and yam rice outlet under a copse of shady trees. Lots of your favourite porridge side dishes, like pickled veggies, steamed egg, bitter melon and roast pork. Try their own brewed Chinese drinks. Pricing is highly affordable, at RM10/pax for six dishes. Plenty of parking out the front, and swift service unless you come during peak lunch hour because there's only one aunty doing everything.
Learnt that the business will be closing down for good at beginning of next year but hope that the proprietor will change mind on this. A good place for porridges during a hot day but beware it's semi open air and the pricing is reasonable.
Wrong location on Google map. It's at the front yard of the creepy old bungalow at the intersection of Hutton and Swatow. The stewed pork belly with preserved mustard green (moi choy) is my favorite dish to go with my porridge.
Great Teochew Porridge for brunch. Lots of dishes to choose from. Best is the fermented soybeans ray fish.
