On January 16th I took my 2021 Tacoma under invoice 1027512 for service due to a noise coming from the engine compartment. I’m not claiming to be a mechanic but you know when something doesn’t sound right. I took the vehicle in for service and unfortunately my service advisor was Luis Guzman. He was rude with no customer service skills, incompetent, and seemed to be very annoyed to be doing his job. Actually Luis Guzman represents the complete opposite of what AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway claims to be: Our team consists of only the most passionate and knowledgeable individuals who are dedicated to going above and beyond in every way possible. After supposedly diagnosing my truck, it was brought to the side ready for pick up. I sat in the waiting area looking at my truck for 30 minutes thinking something else was needed or the problem was addressed and I was good to go. As I waited I decided to ask Luis if my truck was ready. He made no eye contact with me and in a very dismissive tone said I’ll let you know when your truck is ready. I gave it a few more minutes and just saw him talk and walk around. Again after half an hour of just waiting he let me know to come get my truck and they found nothing. Looking at the invoice I would like an explanation of what’s going on if anything with my truck. After all isn’t that the job description for a service advisor? As a customer who loves Toyota it’s repulsive to deal with this kind of employee who represents the company and creates such distrust of any work done. I would advise anyone looking for service to drive the extra miles to a different Toyota and if you can’t I hope you don’t get stuck with Luis Guzman.
