I’ve been coming here for some time now and It’s always great. Always a good selection of routes for all skill levels. I had my introduction with Jack when I first started who was friendly, patient and very helpful since I’d had no prior experience. If your looking to get into this sport then I’d highly recommend coming and starting here!

Very impressed with Avid. The walls are really good with a great variety of grades and types. From pure vertical to more gentle sloped to full on hard overhangs, there is something for everyone here. Great for fun but also if you're serious there are some real challenging grades. Very good for kids too and they do introductory sessions to newbies. Also they have a good selection of coffee and teas along with some good cars. Even gluten free bagels. Finally the staff are really great. Very attentive and helpful. They are what really pushes this to a five star for me. They must really like their jobs and they are doing great. 100% recommend. Also there is a free car park, toilets, changing rooms and lockers for keeping your clothes/valuables safe just bring a pound for the key (you get it back) :)

A spacious bouldering centre with a good assortment of problems spanning a wide range of complexities. Upstairs has a small gym to be able to warm up in and practice hanging, and downstairs has a well stocked cafe, making for a nice break location during sessions. Avid occasionally hold competitions and having attended a couple of these can say they’re very well run and again suitable for all abilities.

Great place, been to a few bouldering joints and this one's up there in the top 5. Tons of fun routes to climb and also tons of tricky climbs. Got slabs, overhangs, long routes and a training area. Now let's talk about the most important part of any climbing center, the COFFEE and CAKES! The coffee is amazing so smooth and goes well with their succulent cakes/flapjacks.

Amazing place very friendly staff and other climbers were also kind and considerate to new people. Was nicer on a week day evening because of limited maximum people because if virus so we had no issues with crowds. Was somewhat expensive for first time entry but future entry is cheaper. Will be returning. It's a great group outing of friends.

Fantastic rock-climbing gym with friendly staff and a great little cafe. The routes are change regularly and most members are more than happy to chat and help you problem-solve your climbing route. AVID is such a nice alternative to the gym and family-friendly.
