We ordered two different menus (one mackerel, one sea bass) both were delicious. Cooked perfectly. Lovely wine to accompany and creme brûlée for dessert. A perfect lunch! Helpful waitress, good service. Everything was good in here. I highly recommended this place.

Small eclectic space, good value 25 euro menu. Good friendly vibe.

Arrived and was promptly nodded to a table and chairs. Menus and waitress arrived 15 minutes later. The waitress was pleasant and appeared to be the only one serving 20 patrons. Waited an hour for starters. I couldn't help overhear the table next to us vigorously state the the same. I had to ask for bread that arrived without butter or cutlery. (Starters) Oysters were satisfactory but served with a slice of butter and lemon? The calamari falafel was ridiculous in taste and culinary creativity. (Mains)The fish was fresh but any chef that does not value seabass enough to scale it before grilling is an embarrassment to French chefs. (Dessert) Lost our appetites and left. At 14 a mackerel, you could do significantly better for a lot cheaper at nearby places. Look at my pics for more info. Atmosphere was good - Retro LPs being played in the background salvaged the place to a 1 star. The rest is regrettably unforgivable.

A hidden gem. I was on my way to a popular restaurant when I saw this little restaurant. The cozy decoration immediately caught my attention. Specialized in sea food, this restaurant offers freshly cooked fish cuisine. I ordered the evening menu which contains 3 courses. The fish was properly cooked with beautiful golden color and smelled great. The yogurt was the highlight. The herbal source was something I’ve never had before. P.S. they play music from a vintage player! Stylish.

Me and my partner visited this place on Saturday night. Got a table straight away and the waitress was very nice and helped us out with translating the menu. We ordered oysters and calamari to start and a seabream and makrel for mains. From there it was all downhill I'm afraid. Our starters arrived 1h20min later. By then I was more sleepy than hungry. Decent oysters. Calamari on the other hand were dreadful. Cut into very large pieces and covered in garam masala coating which apart from being a weird combination failed to stay on. Couldn't eat it so asked for bread instead. Both fishes (mains) were fresh, served on the bone. Both of our side dishes were plain, not seasoned and didn't not compliment fish as intended by default. The skin on seabream was partially scaled so had to be left on plate untouched. We didn't order wine nor desserts and the bill came to 64 Euro (70 with a tip as the waitress was helpful)!!! A total rip off. We went out to various places in Nice and Cannes before coming to Avignon and had much better meals for this sort of budget. An hour after the meal I'm having a heartburn. Please do yourself a favour and stay clear of this place.

Very awesome crew, tasty food, and a place where you can really enjoy your meal, after walking miles and miles. We loved the house rose wine a lot. We will come again!

It is becoming harder to find classic french restaurants, but La petite peche fits the bill for me. A cosy and quirky smallish room, two or three set menus at very reasonable prices, good local wine by the glass, carafe or bottle, well prepared but unfussy food, and the whole thing apparantly run by a team of two.
