Really nice architecture, designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and his only work in Spain. The centre itself is very impressive from an architecture point of view but sadly since its opening it has been covered in scandals for its bad management and the bad use of public money by the former management. The restaurants in the space, specially in the tower were not very lucky either and the Tower is closed these days. These days there are some exhibitions but not to the level of the building. This is a good example of how just a good infrastructure without a good management doesn’t add much value.

Incredible experience visiting Avila and this center. The museum was spectacular and so intriguing. I was impressed by the architecture and design of the area. This day was quite cloudy and breezy, definitely worth visiting if you are near the area. Asturias is beautiful!
If you feel carve for a little culture, this is not too bad place to start. And you can skate too (well I did not, might not be allowed, but the surface....)
Great Art center designed by renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. It stays in Avilès, an industrial heavy scenery town in Asturias, Spain. It has changed the face of the city! It has a nice cafeteria to rest from the visit.
Hard to enter, impossible to leave. You need to cross two bridges to get there. But later there are fences everywhere. You just end up walking in circles on the lifeless concrete surface. Staff is rude.
