Small park surrounded by traditional houses and bars. The park used to host a cattle market until 1970. These days you can still see one of the places used for the animals to drink. There is an oak tree planted by the Asturian Nobel Prize of Medicine Severo Ochoa. The park could have more green spaces. As it happens with Aviles’ parks every time they do some works, the parks end up with more pavement and less trees and green spaces. You can see in the park an Horreo, a typical construction that you can find in the region used to store food. The land was donated by the Lords of Carbajal who ensured the area was preserved for the use and benefit of the local people.
