Enjoyed that boat ride it’s amazing, there a bit of a hassle getting on the boat if you’re not used to the ports, otherwise great experience
The booking office was nice, although the foreigner price of 35 one way is pretty steep, but we enjoyed the trip. It would become really expensive if we had to take this trip more than once or twice. Keep in mind that this trip may be advertised by people as only an hour or half an hour long, but it’s typically 2 hours.

Once you get past the touts, you will find that this port is extremely efficient and organized. The AC on the boats gets really cold which is a nice relief from outside.
Luggage service was good, but they wanted way too much tips. Ticketing office service speed and accuracy could be much better. Azam ferry business class was maybe worse than being in economy... Moldy A/C did not make the trip very pleasant. At least the ferry was fast.
If you want to have a comfortable and safe travels from zanzibar to Dar es salaam, you have to Travel with Azam marine Ferry.
Nice booking experience. Staff is helpful. Ferry is pretty clean and fast . Better to book morning ferries as the sea/ocean is less violent . afternoon time due to waves the ferry is not comfortable to some people with sea sickness and they can vomit or can faint
