Receptionist is absolutely terrible. Rude. If you are a business trying to get ahold of the owner, the receptionist takes it upon themselves to make the decisions taking the opportunity away from the actual decision maker. She will interrupt you mid-sentence like a child too good to be respectful, and then hang up on you if she feels like it, giving the company an unprofessional vibe. Any other company, and the receptionist answers the phones politely, passes on the info to the owner and takes messages. Every business that is successful can credit a sales marketing team for their success. it's very ignorant for the receptionist to be rude to a person calling even if they are a sales person. she wouldn't have a job if a sales marketing team didn't do exactly what I do for a living to make their business successful enough to need a receptionist. she is an over glorified phone answerer who acts like her position is to make decisions. We don't even know if the owner would be interested or not because the receptionist won't pass contacts along. I simply don't get it. If you're a receptionist, your job is easier than mine. Stay in your lane. There is no excuse to be rude to people calling rather they are a client or looking to collaborate on a professional level. I have never contacted a business that gives the power to make decisions to a receptionist. a 12 year old can do her job with a better attitude.
