The Linnaean Jumkil hike is an excellent walk showcasing a wide variety of Upplandian types of nature. If you follow the whole path, which isn't more than about five kilometers, you'll pass through marshlands, deep forests untouched by axes for hundreds of years, sparse pine heaths, an old iron age fortification (although it's almost undetectable if you don't know what you are looking for), and a stream that has carved a shallow ravine through the forest. If you get there early in the morning you have excellent chances of encountering some of the more elusive Swedish bird fauna as well.
