FISHY COMPANY: Can't fathom where the 4,9 stars out of 297 reviews come from; I am giving 0 out of 5 stars to the official imprint address of Cambridge Editing now. Job offer comes from landline in Munich, job contract comes from people who correspond with only their first names somewhere else. Overall communication is unprofessional and time-consuming due to personell not revealing the invoice address immediately etc. Cambridge Editing DOESN'T PAY ON AGREED TIME, two reminders are necessary, quotation conditions are broken by them and and they stop responding to inquiries regarding those conditions neglected. Seems the official emails are handled by different people; people you dealt with suddenly don't remember you, even though you have proof through emails; or they are unorganized and not capable of working professionally. Either way, working with them is very unpleasant. Timeline of situation and payment reminders thus directed to the founder and CEO of Cambridge Edition apparently aren't really processed. He gives excuses to delay payment further, consoles with even more excuses - that the problem was addressed internally and the problem with be dealt with within a certain timeline. NOTHING happens after that. For an unpaid amount of under 100EUR, this is really too much hassle. Don't recommend this agency for professional translators who are used to work with upscale professionals. Considering involving a collection agency or legal steps now.
