I was given an opportunity with a beautiful woman to ride this place in which I have driven close to for years just never took the extra time to go. Parking was easy, space to get our bikes ready was plentiful. Trails are easy to negotiate. Maps are available to plan a good ride. We decided to visit during the pandemic, and distance was not an issue. The wind was blowing towards us while we were heading south but only when we were out in the open, so switching or riding at a lower gear helps, but once we were covered by the trees it was smoother and easier to focus on scenery and wildlife. All in all it's a wonderful part of Virginia that needs to explored

Great little park we had it mostly to ourselves. The East & West Dikes was closed due to the migrating birds but the beach and some other trails was open. We walked the beach for about 2 miles out then back. I would love to revisit this refuge in season!
