Charming hotel with a castle vibe. It is only a three stars, but the rooms are comfortable and spacious in the main building. Their downside is the bathroom which is small and would need a remodeling. The best part is the little salon behind the front desk. All in a 1700s-1800s style with a lovely view over the forest. Perfect for a drink while listening to some classical music. The restaurant was a bit so so, currently only serving one set menu due to the COVID-19. But it does have a gorgeous view! Also, the gentleman manning the salon’s bar and occasionally the front desk is super funny and he will make sure you have a good time!

Went for a wellness weekend with a friend, was very put off by the attitude of the reception staff. Pop over to the restaurant for lunch, noticed we are the only one. Food wasn't appealing, that explained. I would recommend to eat outside. Since we paid for a half board, we stayed for the dinner. Was edible, not fantastic. The serving staff, especially Christine & Dario totally won us over right away, very attentive, warm and so very friendly. Felt immediately at home. There is only one masseur in the hotel so we have to take turn, wonderful lady with good pair of hands and wonderful tips! Rooms are big, a bit dated but generally clean. Though I wasn't sure about the beds as we both got a few red bumps that caused me to itch. Surrounding was really nice & green. Easily reached via public transport.

A truly Swiss experience. Clean efficient and with bags of character. An ideal location to visit Tamina Therme and Tamima Gorge.

No holiday feeling at all at this place. Receptionist refuses to talk in English and politeness is made up to being a local visitor or not. Rooms are not worth the stars and by far not the money, 80chf would be the max I would spend but not 220 for being 5min off the real castle in a kind of camp. Sorry, that has nothing to do with wellness and is not in line with the local high standard provided by the Thermalbad and other premises. Only positive feedback is about the service employees in the Restaurant and bar, these are super friendly and trying hard to make your stay enjoyable but bottom line that’s not enough... Added after receiving the comment from the VIZE director of the „castle“: still not possible in English, what an embarrassment, it just proofs the incapabilities of them managing the hotel on a serious standard... what a trap

Fine hotel at a reasonable price given the location and surroundings. Food is quite good and available at a sensible price. Very enjoyable. Place had character and excellent views

Wasn't terrible but wasn't delightful either. Was plain OK - I would not stay here for more than one or two nights. Rooms a little tacky, way too warm but couldn't turn down the heating. Didn't want to raise the issue with reception because the service there was cold and uninviting from the start. The breakfast was nice though and proximity to Quellenhof also great.

I’ll probably be seeing this place in my dreams: a castle-like hotel with spacious rooms, great breakfasts and absolutely personalized service - but only for a fraction of a price normally asked for this kind of a getaway
