Best foie gras I have EVER tasted in my whole life.

Interesting, and important, introduction to the production of foie gras. Like many people visiting Dordogne, we indulged in the foie gras that is indicative of the region. But with the wonderful taste, there are few foods that also bring such controversy. We visited the farm as a means to learn, and see the animals for ourselves, to help in our understanding of the ethics of foie gras. I think everyone visiting the region should do the same. Not only was the visit informative, it was also very interesting. The woman in the store spoke very good English (dare I say perfect English!) and was able to answer all of our questions about the farm and the production of foie gras, along with some of the more gastronomical questions about the various flavours, etc. You are free to wander the grounds and see the animals as they pass through their various stages of life - tours are provided to larger groups. There were high quality information boards about the history and practice of foie gras, which are entirely in French (though an English information sheet is also available). We didn’t appreciate at the time, but this is a very special opportunity to acquire some goose foie gras, which is surprisingly far less common than the duck. Particularly if you have concerns about the welfare associated with foie gras this is a very valuable opportunity to see the welfare of the animals, and to see the origins of the products you buy - direct from the farm shop.

Voici la, un éleveur qui aime ses animaux. Les bâtiments sont isolés, les animaux gambadent dehors, c'est propre, le cadre est charmant. Une boutique est dur place et franchement on s'est régalé avec les produits que nous avons pris
Domaine au milieu de la nature donc très calme,les camping-cars sont les bienvenus, accueil très sympathique de Mr Kuster . Possibilité de visiter le domaine , des affiches ludique vous explique le gavage et l'élevage des oies et canards. Une boutique vous permet de faire vos achats et la personne qui vous accueille est également très sympathique et répond à vous questions sur les produits en vente. Merci pour votre accueil, nous reviendrons sans hésitation
Très bon endroit, pas du tout prévu. On a juste suivi une pancarte... Un accueil chaleureux et une visite très intéressante avec dégustation. Un passage à la boutique plein de bonnes choses et nous avons passé la nuit sur place avec notre camping car. Une famille qui aime leur métier et beaucoup de mérite. Merci pour cette belle journée. Nous profitons d'entendre les oies car elles ne sont pas encore rentrées....
Aire de camping-cars gratuite. On peut arriver à n'importe quelle heure. Si le magasin est ouvert, on va se présenter et pourquoi pas les remercier en achetant quelques délicieux produits fabriqués à la ferme Si le magasin est fermé, on y va le lendemain. Terrain plat et site très calme. Magnifique coucher de soleil.
Avons commandé pour la première fois des produits et nous avons même eu droit à un petit cadeau. Tres sympa. Nous avons hâte de déguster tous les produits. Et nous recommanderons.
