Good beer and wine selection, food is good as well. They have a large marquee in the beer garden, are very dog friendly and it feels CV19 secure.
We went here for a bit of a family get together on a Saturday night with a party of ten. The staff and owners were very welcoming and the menu consisted of some old favourites and a nice variety of other dishes. There was also a specials board which gave a wide variety of choice and complemented the standard menu very well. Considering we were a big party, the food came out in good time and was all delivered to the table all together. I had the steak and kidney steamed pudding with dauphinoise potatoes and fresh vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. All others in our party were very impressed with the meal and said they would definitely recommend to others. For the quality of service and the price per head I was very impressed. Some had starters, all obviously had a main course and most had deserts and with one drink for all it worked out at about 25 per head. We will definitely be heading back.
We ate in here last night Saturday 26th sept 2020 Was terrible service I know were all trying to get used to covid but there’s no need to change the service we’ve ate in here before and was so lovely so we decided to take friends which one was a gluten free. I rang up before hand to ask if they had a gluten free menu I was told yes when we got there got told to pick something and could see if they could make it gluten free this made my friend very anxious. And the lady who took our menu was very rude. Didn’t get given a drinks menue so when we were ask we didn’t know what there was. Then waited a while for someone to come back to order more drinks by which time was nearly time to go! Didn’t get given an opportunity for desert at all. Was very disappointed!
