Not quite the old Cafe by the Ruins I used to know. Bagnet was good but the Chicken Thai has nothing Thai about it, but it was decent. Prices of food here have also gone up and servings got small. Overall, worth the visit for the reason of the restaurant's icon status.

Good to be back to this place after several years. Enjoyed so much their Bagnet with fish bagoong served with red rice. Place is clean and servers were attentive. Their al fresco area has limited space. Limited parking space also.

Café by the Ruins is a must-try Baguio restaurant located just across the city hall and a few meters walk from Burnham park. I loved the original structure of the restaurant before it was burned down. It was renovated and reopened in 2018, but I find the current layout a bit weird. Parking is limited and located beside the main entrance, which is hardly noticeable. It’s nice to dine-in at present, with limited Baguio visitors, but for sure during the peak season it can be really crowded. The ambience is nice because of the garden facade and entrance, as well as the outdoor tables and 2nd floor open air tables. Meals are great! Well thought out menu items composed mostly of dishes made from locally sourced ingredients and exhibiting rich Cordilleran culture and Filipino cuisine. Well recommended for Baguio first-timers!

My hopes were too high up for this place. It was not really all that bad nor was it that good. Maybe if someone told me it was a bad place and I ate here I would have thought of it as good but because almost everyone said it was good I had high hopes and I was let down.

Good food, classic resto in Baguio. The cheese nibbles is a yummy treat you can bring home for your family (pasalubong)
