Location great adjacent to the Chatsworth Estate, campsite very nice, wardens friendly and helpful and a well stocked shop. A word of warning though that most of the non awning pitches are placed together under trees with little or no sun, and where any sun did manage to poke through it was of no benefit as we were parked the other way round, and due to CAMC strict parking rules, we weren't 'allowed' to turn our vehicle round, not only was there no sun, but there were bits dropping from the trees which went everywhere. Best part of our stay was going to the Devonshire Pub, about 15 minute walk in the opposite direction to Chatsworth House (after going through the gate). The food, service and ambience is excellent, a must for any serious foodie.

If you can get a booking don't hesitate to go. Peaceful, safe and a great team of hardworking wardens doing everything possible to keep the site Covid safe.

Our first visit. A very friendly greeting from Wendy. It seems a tidy well organised site. beautiful pheasants wander unafraid on the site. Because of the virus we didn't use the facilities so cannot comment. A lovely bonus is visitors are handed a key to the gate in the site wall which gives immediate access to the grounds of Chatsworth House. We will be back soon.

Site is well located and plenty to do. Super pitches 1 to 9 are good. Staff are friendly. HOWEVER because they do not allocate or allow you to pick a pitch, arrival is a bun fight. First come gets the better pitches, you drive in a find one you want. Therefore everyone arrives at 1.00pm or just before. We arrived at 1.15pm and there wrre 14 units in front of us to get in.. in many areas the pitches are packed in and not a lot of privacy.
