Well after a 4 mile walk in Upper Haddon we were going to Bakewell for a well deserved tea and cake however after driving back Bakewell was extremely busy and it was nice to see face masks being worn the 2m social distancing was difficult as the market was on so after chatting to someone in the car park they recommend this Tea Room As you turn down towards The Old Smithy parking was on the left which is free but you can donate there is also parking Long the road Plenty of seating indoors and outside Dogs welcome inside We had full cooked breakfast with an oak cake which was a first for me and was ok i don't know what I was expecting but was nice You could replace an item for an item so I replaced my tomatoes for some black pudding I also had a chocolate milkshake and the other half an an Americano which for him was quite strong at one shot with extra water Overall recommend, clean, covid guidance followed names and numbers recorded For 21.85 great value

Lovely tea room on the village green in the pretty village of Monyash. Indoor and outdoor tables available. The freshly baked scones are lovely. Lots of people were buying ice creams from the Old Smithy and sitting under the shade of the trees on the green to eat them. The tea room is participating in the Eat Out To Help Out scheme during August 2020.

Great spot to top up on calories. Burgers with fried onions. A delicacy a lot of cafe's think has gone out of fashion. A burger does not need rabbit food as an accompaniment. Well cooked with a plate of real chips. Well worth the trip
