5 STARS to this place for excellent food and great customer service. Visited 1st September. The place is neat and clean with old school vibes. They have a pool table. The guy at the front desk was really polite and welcoming. We ordered wings, Chicken on the bun, Jalapeno poppers. The food tasted really good. The wait time for the food was not too long. Restrooms were ok-ok because at some point of time it's the visitor's courtesy too to keep the restrooms clean as visitors threw tissues here and there. I forgot to ask name of the guy working there at that time but he provided excellent customer service and was helpful in answering the questions about places to visit.

Great place
we went up to Bala for our annual Thanksgiving Blue Rodeo show. This was the first time staying at the hotel - in the past we have stayed at a motel and bed and breakfast. The hotel room was small, but suited our needs, as we were only staying one night. I read some of the reviews regarding the rooms prior to going, so knew they would be small - The room had a fairly large bathroom. Water temp kept varying though from really hot to really cold - It helped to wake me up! People have complained about the TV being small, but honestly who cares - you aren't up there to hang in your room and watch TV. Bala is a really nice little town with a lot of hiking trails. Well worth the visit. Our only disappointment was that the bar was closed down after the concert and there wasn't anything to do. I'm not sure why they closed the bar down early? Everyone staying there was looking for a place to go after the concert.
The best wings and sweet potatoe fries we have had. Bala Bay beer is really good too. Staff/lady was super nice and friendly. Will definitely recommend. Thank you
A great stay and friendly service!
Good service with warm smile during our winter visit. Fish and Chip is good. Pizza is out of our expectation.
Knock the place down and re-build. This place is well past it's use by date. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the TRAINS - all night long, freight trains almost rattled the place off its foundations. We had a wedding there and everything was great, for the wedding. Rooms, not so good.
I've never eaten there or slept there, however I do know it is haunted. I've heard people say things would move by themselves and lights flicker I think. Look Bala bay inn bala haunting Ontario up on Google. I know they do haunting tours too. It would be the perfect get away to a Muskoka weekend.
