Such a beautiful spot!! We’re driving across the country from Pennsylvania to Oregon, and wanted to find campsites that allowed us to experience the natural beauty of the states we are visiting. This spot knocked it out of the park!!! Such a beautiful atmosphere and a gracious host; couldn’t have asked for a better experience of Kansas. Definitely recommend if you’re not uncomfortable with close proximity to nature :))

Really enjoyed the energy and peacefulness...enjoyed spending time with friend and meeting others there.
There is a spirit of healing at this place that is delightful and harmonious. My visit for 8 days was enjoyable. The camp site I chose had a nice fire circle. There are yurts for rent that are spacious and well-appointed. The barn has good wifi. There are greenhouses for fresh produce and chickens and turkeys in the yard. The three dogs I met were friendly and well-trained. A wagon for getting my gear from the parking area was a very nice touch. Lots of great hiking trails in forest and prairie with creeks and swimming holes. One of my last days in camp began with a beautiful cloud looking like a great white feather overhead. Many blessings here.
Such an amazing place! So beautiful. It was an experience I won't soon forget, I'd go back in a heartbeat.
This was an incredible find. All the hotels in Lawrence were booked up. So we took a chance, and man did we ever win! First off, our bedding facilities were perfect. The light center is a century old barn, rehabbed into a home. There were people who lived of the farm that did not stay in the Barn, but did share in the facilities such as bathroom and kitchen. There is little cell reception, but there is wifi. Once you get past that, you'll fall in love with the place. First off, it's a farm. All the other people are here to work. As a benefit, they provide free eggs and various vegetables. The kitchen is basic, but has everything you need from pots and pans to dinnerware. We prepared nearly all our meals with the bountiful FREE produce. There is no microwave or dishwasher, but that's mostly for health reasons. Secondly, the land is beautiful. To get to the light center, there is about 3 miles of gravel road. Nothing bad, just dusty. Once you get here, there are managed trails and camping areas. The creek is small and stagnant, so there's no place to swim. Don't worry, just come chill in the hot tub inside the barn! Lastly, there's the people. Robin runs the place. She works the land and tends to the guest needs. Others who are here to work, like Darren, are friendly, willing to answer questions, and are generous of their resources. This is a fun getaway for a couple or a group. The facilities can satisfy the spoiled urbanite or the Eagle Scout. It's 20 min from Lawrence, and I hope make this an annual trip.
