These guys are awesome. We took our young kids Ocean fishing for the first time. Captain Joe who works with Matt, the owner, was incredible with them. Best of all, we had a fish on the line almost every cast. Furthermore, they were prepared and ready to go on both trips when we arrived. No waiting around, which was nice. I highly recommend Bamboo Charters.

Captain Matt took my husband and I back country fishing on February 20, 2019. He is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, and the insights that he provided were very fascinating. He kept a close eye on the weather conditions and kept in good communication with us for a few days prior to our trip. We had to make some adjustments, because it was very windy that day, but he still managed to find us plenty of fish to catch. We also saw a small group of bottlenose dolphins, which was incredible. Matt cleaned our fish for us and recommended local restaurants that would cook our catch. Delicious! Overall this was an amazing day that we will not soon forget. We highly recommend Bamboo Charters for an absolutely delightful day on the water!
Another great experience with Bamboo charters!! Captain Matt was easy to work with and full of knowledge setting up our trip. We went out with Captain Eric and I couldn’t have asked for a better day. He dodged a storm for us and put us on a whole bunch of snapper. My 6yo daughter wasn’t bored for a minute- squealing with delight every time she screamed “fish on!” My 8yo son was also in his glory. FANTASTIC day in Islamorada... one we will all remember forever! Thank you Bamboo Charters, see ya next time!!
Captain Eric worked hard to keep us on the fish. The company is not afraid to put money back into the business. Brand new 2021 25’ Contenders for a fleet. Great company!
My husband and I went out with Captain Joe for a Sunday 6-hour charter. We had so much fun. We felt our comfort and fun was his #1 priory!! It was very cold and windy (very rare cold front). Captain Joe worked very hard so we didn't get wet and stayed out of the wind as best a possible. He also brought us to spots where the water wasn't rough, I didn't feel sick at all! Captain Joe was very knowledgeable about back country fishing areas and brought us to many spots to keep the fishing biting! He taught us how to cast and work the line to catch a fish. Any level of fisherman can be successful with their professional guidance. We caught over 25 fish! We caught a black tip shark. We caught lots of; snook, red fish, sea trout, lady fish and Jaxs. Joe prepared our fish so we took our trout to a local restaurant for dinner later that night. We can't wait to bring our kids back for a wonderful time!
