The place is lovely, atmosphere great, staff very welcoming. We came for a late Sunday roast and they still accommodated us. I like the beef quite rare and it arrived not so pink. They quickly changed it for me. We really like the food and the service. Very much recommended.

We have been visiting this pub most Sundays for a while now and I understand the management has changed in the last 2 weeks, I have no complaint with the staff as they were quite busy and very pleasant but we had to wait for ages for a member of staff to appear to remove our plates and ask if we wanted a dessert. we had booked a table for 4, we all chose the roast pork but only 3 of us could have it as they had sold out and 2 of us wanted the Creme Brulee but it had also sold out. The pub could do with a good clean, our table was \sticky\ and even the framed pictures on the wall needed a good clean as they were filthy, perhaps it showed more clearly as the sun was reflecting off them!!

So glad that I finally was able to enjoy this pub. Every time I walked in it was packed. I was so sad yesterday that I arrived just as they sold out of their Sunday Roast. Excellent beer and great food. Very friendly and helpful staff all around. I would have to say that this is hands down the best pub in Banbury. I look forward to coming back again.
