Scrumptious steak the service and quality of food is five stars. The low lit lighting gives the right dining ambience with plenty of room for groups of people or a cosy table for 2. Staff are attentive and are readily available. Can't see much of the view inside but outside dining wouldn't be too bad.

Great atmosphere and delicious food at the Woodcut. We had a great time sitting right next to the promenade. More enjoyable than indoor where might be a little too noisy for a dinner date. Of course, the weather did a great job too. Staff at the restaurant are nice and friendly. Interacted very well with customers and attentive. The warm welcome provided a comfortable start. We were quite surprise the food were so much better in comparison to the other restaurants that are offered by Crown. Apart from the slightly chewy lamb, all of our dishes were cooked well and flavour were on the spot. We were so full but can’t help to order dessert to share. The plum pistachio was yum. This place definitely worth to return.

Being waterfront fancy fine dine restaurant, it has the price to match. Food was superb, the 4 different kitchens they have each specialises in different way of cooking. Overall a very nice experience as I was seated in a private room with friends. But the open area is also quite good atmosphere. Toilets are outside of the restaurant but it’s basically just opposite the main entry of the restaurant, and it being on ground floor is easy to find.

Nice food with a nice view. The staff are all well taught about the food and capable of answering any questions, they even recommended when and where to take photos of the sunset. The ingredients are high quality and the result is that you are going to be paying a high price. The meals were spread far apart, which can be annoying as it can take a couple of hours just to get all the food.

Loved the experience and the food was delicious. My host Francesca and Chef Daniel who gave me tour of the kitchen and all the cool toys used. Had the skirt wagyu steak, it was amazing and perfectly cooked. The octopus was so delicious as well. Extensive wine list with a wide variety of wines from all regions. Highly recommend it!

Just came back from Woodcut after what was a lovely evening. I honestly came into this restaurant with low hopes given the bizarrely low rating, however I honestly think that the service was phenomenal, we were looked after the entire night and most important of all (in my opinion at least), the food was top notch. Whilst the food is a bit pricey, it's the crown and in the case of Woodcut, I got what I paid for which was top quality food. Hopefully in the near future the ratings for this restaurant will become a more accurate reflection of it's current standards.

It’s all about showcasing food preparation from the moment you walk in. Despite the large table count it’s quiet but intimate enough to share with your group. The outdoor tables are the ones you want, all seem to have a water view. The staff were friendly and attentive, with good wine suggestions. The menu is split generally into how the food is prepared, baked, grilled or raw. There’s plenty to choose from and suit most tastes. I find it difficult to look past the steak, and I wasn’t wrong, it was delicious, perfectly cooked. The summer vegetables wasn’t what I was expecting, it consisted mainly of tomatoes, but should have guessed when it appeared on the ‘salad bar’ option, the skin on fries were a far better choice. The desert menu didn’t tempt anyone which was a shame but if you like cheese you’re in luck there’s a great selection.

After poor reviews of service we were expecting little, but Francesca was a one in a million waitress! She was very approachable, informative and attentive. If only the same could be said of the front of house staff. Woodcut has high quality food, the oysters were fresh and ice cold and the prawns succulent and delicious. The brick chicken was a little disappointing, with its overpowering sticky sauce. It's understandably expensive here but great quality. They have an extensive list of gins but only one rosé by the glass, could do with a few more.
