Amazing place, everything you could want for a relaxing break from it all.

Lovely location, great views, good sized room sufficient for a [long] weekend away for 2. Kitchen decently stocked. Tony & Peta very welcoming. No WiFi and no pub in walking distance so take your own beer but with views like those, who cares. Shall be returning.

Great location. Friendly staff. Good food...but why would you only give 1.5 pieces of toast with the paté? And it wasn't enough! What do you do with the other half? Just seems an unnecessary meanness.

We had the pleasure of staying at West Hury Farm Cottages in July 2013. We were made to feel most welcome. The cottage was absolutely spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. Idyllic setting with fabulous views. We have already booked for next year. ***** Thank you John and Diane.

We have stayed in all the cottages over the years and have enjoyed every moment. Buckswell has got to be the favourite, a little cottage all on its own on the side of a hill overlooking the Hurry reservoir. John and Diane are lovely hosts who have always been eager to make sure our stays were peaceful and comfortable. The cottages are clean and have everything that you need including log fires and even scones and cakes when you arrive. The surrounding area is beautiful, especially the North pennines with many places to visit. In the past we have stayed in a few other cottages in the area but none reached the standard of Hury farm cottages. We loved the area so much we have now bought a house and moved up here.
